Graham and Sarah Purcell
En-Route to St. Petersburg!
Dear Friends of Hope Russia,
Last summer, Renatta and I, along with Blake and Cathy Purcell, celebrated as their son Graham was ordained as a PCA teaching elder.
This week the Lord begins writing a new chapter in their family saga. Graham, Sarah and their children flew out of DFW yesterday to St. Petersburg, Russia.
Graham becomes the third Purcell man to commit to laboring in the world's largest country. Blake and Cathy began way back in 1989. Graham’s brother Lewis also works in St. Petersburg, teaching in the missions school and special needs children.
We don’t want to miss the significance of this:
Not only have Blake and Cathy Purcell passed on the Christian faith to their children, but now two of their sons are following in their parents footsteps to labor in that vast unreached land, Russia, and beyond!
This is an extraordinary story that honors our Lord Jesus and is worthy of our support.
Your Friend in Christ,

Graham moved to the USSR in 1990 and attended Russian public school for four years. This is his first day of school in 1992.
Graham, left, felt God call him to serve the Lord in Russia while serving as an army officer in Afghanistan in 2012. Russian lettering on equipment was everywhere.
